In London police have now charged 1,000 people for crimes related to the riots and two men have each been given a four year sentence for creating Facebook pages that incited riots. The judge hoped the harsh sentence would be a deterrent to would rioters. But do harsh sentences like this actually deter anyone, or only create more aggression? Ana Kasparian, host of The Young Turks University discusses.
