CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A County Board of Elections certifies votes from this months elections and the results are mixed for school districts.
The certification confirms the tax levy for Lakota Schools passed by fewer than 300 votes.
School district officials say they waited for today's count before they began restoring 20 million dollars in budget cuts. The five-and-a- half million dollar levy will cost the owner of 100- thousand dollar home 192 dollars a year.
The waiting will continue in the Fairfield School District. Today's vote certification shows the bond issue failed by 31 votes. That will trigger an automatic recount, which will take place the first week in December.
The bond issue would pay to demolish Central Elementary and the freshman school, then replace those buildings and build a new elementary school.
