Well, we're here again, it's boss time...but boy is this one a doozy compared to most of the ones that preceded it. The big baby was pretty boss-like, but let's face it...chainsaw maniacs, a minor rash of alien invaders, and giant picnic ants don't quite hold up compared to the likes of this. These things definitely make the Tremors movies look like a picnic, though...I'd settle for a nice graboid instead...I don't suppose they would want to trade, huh?

Just like with big bad baby, there's no avoiding having to fight on this level...there are THREE skull doors in this stage, but at least there aren't any victims in the open spaces to worry about this time around.

I've actually heard that one of the weapons that I never found a really good use for, the plates, are good against bosses...but I never actually thought to try it when the chance came along to try to apply it. It seems a bit odd to me, since they don't seem to damage enemies any more than the squirt guns do, but that's true of a lot of weapons when applied to the wrong enemies, so it's actually not a bad idea if you consider it wouldn't be much of a waste to be rid of excessive quantities of an otherwise "useless" weapon...

And then we have a level with a title that to this day makes me smile just a little bit, it's another alien-themed stage! There's not really a huge deal to this one, but it's still neat to see them...and you get a pretty spiffy and specialized song for them, so there's never a bad time for the Earth to be invaded. Hey, wait, that's two stages in a row themed on "invasion" of sorts...
