Microbes live everywhere! While many microbes on Earth are harmless, and can even be helpful to humans, some microbes can be unsafe. Microbes can also be found aboard the International Space Station (ISS). NASA scientists have reported that some germs on the ISS can increase to a higher number than they do on Earth. This video features Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield and highlights the procedures to sample microbes on the ISS. Special thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Canadian Space Agency to bring us this video for Mission X: Train Like an Astronaut.
