This song inspires me so much to push myself and make it big. It's my anthem. I'm as broke as could be, but I'm putting myself through college, majoring in chemical engineering with a minor in biochemistry, and excelling in all my classes. I can only afford to eat two meals a day (which I count as a blessing), only got a $100 bucks to my name, which I plan on using for gas to get to class since I live about 45 minutes away, my phone just broke, and someone stole my bike on campus. I'm fortunate to be able to live at my mom's, but unfortunately she can't help much beyond that, since she works as a janitor earning minimum wage. And my father is equally as broke. But this song motivates me to keep pushing. I know I got what it takes to pull my family out of this poverty. And the day that happens, I'll be singing "damn right I like the life I live, 'cause I went from negative to positive!"

It is sad that the younger generation missed out on music like this. Fetty Wap, Future, Desiigner, and Young Thug has nothing on Biggy, 2 Pac, DMX, Ice Cube, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and the countless of other amazing rappers from back in the day.
