The first "Schnippeldisko" (chopping disco) of the Slow Food Youth Germany in the Markthalle 9 in Berlin-Kreuzberg! They chopped 1,2 tons of vegetables for a protest soup that warmed the hearts and bellies of 8,000 people the next day at the "Wir haben es satt!" demonstration against the industrialisation of farming before the German Chancellory in Berlin.
Thanks to the cooks of the Fläming Kitchen, the Fahrende Gerüchteküche and Food for Action, as well as the many farmers, food producers and traders in Berlin and surroundings who contributed produce for the action day! A thank you also to the cooks of the Projekt Umdenken for the delicious soup and salad on Friday evening!
