As a high school freshman, Lex Gillette started the long jump -- one of four Paralympic sports he now competes in. Lex talks about losing his vision as a young boy and says, "We had to figure out how we were going to move on from that." He shows MEDAL QUEST how he works with a guide to set up for his tremendous flying jumps.
MEDAL QUEST offers an unprecedented look into these high-stake games and the athletes that play them, and is produced for PBS by WGBH Boston in association with the US Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee. More at: http://pbs.org/medalquest
