The Sri Lankan Navy's Ultra Fast Attack Craft, UFAC P438, was sunk in the early morning hours of Saturday March 22nd 2008. At least 10 sailors were missing, presumed killed, and 6 rescued.

There is some question on how exactly the attack craft was sunk, whether a mine, sea tiger attack or some new underwater weapon of the rebels.
