SOUNDS OF GLOBAL WORSHIP:
INDIA, PUNJAB

The religion of the Punjabi people of Northwest India is Sikhism, unique to this region of India. Their holy place is the beautiful Harmandir Sahib (The Abode of God), or commonly called The Golden Temple.

Culturally they are known for their warrior men wearing their characteristic turbins and long hair. Every invading army from the outside has entered into India through this area due the natural barrier elsewhere of the Himalaya Mountains.

Once again an entry into this region is taking place, a new Kingdom, this time a fresh and powerful move of the Holy Spirit of God. A fast growing church is having a tremendous impact among these people, and passionate worship characterizes their expression of love and gratitude to a God Whom they have come to love and serve.

Musically you will notice the melodic embellishments which is common to these people.
