Find out how to use the Library catalogue, LibrarySearch, for finding books and eBooks available from Unitec Library.

Kia Ora.
LibrarySearch is used to find print books, eBooks and other materials you will need for your studies and research.
Click on the ‘LibrarySearch’ button on the Unitec Library homepage. Start your searching by entering appropriate keywords.
Filter your results by choosing from the options listed under the ‘Refine My Results’ menu on the left-hand side of the page.
To find out if the resources are available, click the ‘Find in Library’ button. This will also tell you the shelf location and number for print books.
To access eBooks, click ‘View Online’ and click the link.
The ‘Article-Express’ tab in the main menu allows you to search a range of journals. For more comprehensive information, you can search individual library databases.
Click the ‘Course Reading’ tab to search for course materials by tutor name or course code. Past exam papers are available under the ‘Exams’ tab.
Login using your username and password for the following features:
To request a print book, click ‘Find in Library’ and use the drop down menus to enter details.
Click the ‘Request’ button to get the book sent to your nearest Unitec library branch.
You can save items to ‘My Favourites’ by ticking the box next to each book.
My account shows the items you have checked out and when they are due back.
If you are a Distance Student, you will need to contact Distance Services to get items sent to you. Note that you will need to allow extra time to receive them as they are posted by standard mail.
