Beyond the March: Advocating for Psychological Science

With the March for Science in mind, APA will be providing free advocacy training, live, for interested parties. Our training covers how to communicate effectively with policymakers at all levels, with a focus on building relationships with your congressional offices. We offer practical guidance on how to contact your congressional offices (both Washington and district offices), how to craft your message for members of Congress and congressional staff, what materials you should bring to meetings and how to maintain relationships with congressional offices after your visit. We will also prepare you to communicate with officials in the executive branch and with policymakers at the state and local levels.
