Top 16 Deck Profile by Lithium2300 - Frogmonarchs - Belgium Nationals 2012

May 12 and 13 - 160 people - 8 rounds of swiss day 1 - Top 32 for day 2

A small report and my match-ups during day 1 and 2. Enjoy the read! ;D

Round 1: Blackwings: 2-0
G1: LADD and Vanity's Fiend seal the deal
G2: LADD and Vanity's Fiend seal the deal

Round 2: Chaos Dragon: 2-0
G1: Vanity's Fiend for Good game (he had chaos, pulsar and dad in hand...)
G2: He sided prohibition and mask of restrict in game 2 LOL, offcourse I sided out my MST's and storm. Luckily, he milled his masks...

Round 3: Dino Rabbit: 1-2
G1: Going back and forth, but LADD seals the deal.
G2: He crushes me (TGU, rabbit, avarice...)
G3: Open with 4 tributes, MST and Heavy Storm... Draw an electric virus, but he set his kabazauls and pushed for game next turn...

Round 4: GB: 2-1
G1: I win because of LADD and double Caius.
G2: Storm his 4 backrow like a boss, but lose because I don't draw tribute fodder (no soul exchange/fader/frog etc.)
G3: Storm his 3 backrow for +++, now I do open with a treeborn. A crucial effect veiler on his Gyzarus and a 'D.D. crow read' in his hand (2nd crow) won me this match.

Round 5: Inzektors: 1-2
G1: He wins with BLS
G2: I win with LADD and total control with D.D. Crow and double veiler
G3: I lose (I open with 4 tributes, veiler and crow and draw nothing next turns...)

Round 6: Chaos Dragons: 2-1
G1: Lose this in turn 3, he overextends like a pro into a full field and I don't have Fader/Gorz... I don't let him see my set Ronintoadin (no free information for him, so he kept in his MST's etc.)
G2: Win really fast. Vanity's Fiend and enemy controller seal the deal.
G3: Open with triple soul exchange and fader. He overextends again and I drop fader. I soul exchange his BLS and Pulsar on field for LADD. He destroy it during his turn, but that leaves him crippled. Next turn I activate the third soul exchange for Vanity's Fiend = GG)

Round 7: Dark World: 2-1
G1: Gates, Card destruction etc. blabla
G2: LADD and mobius seal the deal
G3: Really close match, he misplayed and I take advantage of it. Mobius, LADD and D.D. Crow for the win.
5-2 (One more to be sure that I top 32!)

Round 8: Inzektors: 1-2
G1: He's left at 200 LP. I still have to draw my three Caius' (or an enemy controller for GG)... Nope, I lose...
G2: I win with LADD and double veiler
G3: Go into time. I took 1600 damage (no fader etc.) and lose eventually.
5-3 (end up at 29th place, so I sneak in the top 32)

Top 32 match: Dino Rabbit: 2-0 (probably going to upload this one on YouTube, not sure yet because of the quality of the video)
G1: Open terrible (no tribute fodder again...) but I draw into a treeborn next turn. LADD and Vanity's fiend destroy Dino Rabbit.
G2: He opens good: Tour guide into sangan, set 4 (Starlight road, torrential and 2 other cards). Eventually he rabbits into Laggia and avarices everything back... But I rip Electric Virus on his Laggia and tribute for LADD. He can't recover...
BOOM! Top 16 again (hope I don't lose like last year during tops...)

Top 16: Dino Rabbit (very good friend): 1-2
G1: I win really easy with Vanity's Fiend and LADD
G2: He opens god: Rabbit TGU etc.
G3: I make a mistake (due to lack of sleep and loss in concentration)... He wins and eventually beats Sebastien Gonzales in the finals...

So yeah I end up at 14th place, my third consecutive top at nationals. Really nice ^^

Qualified for the European Championship 2012, so probably see you guys in Milaan ;D

Hope you enjoyed the report and the deck profile ;)
