Born in Amsterdam in 1983 to a Filipino mother and an Indonesian father Tieka traveled the world extensively. She wrote her first poem when she was nine years old in her second language, English. In the mid 90s she was also inspired by TLC's Left Eye to write lyrical
rapsongs. That was the start of her exploring of thoughts and emotions, whether trivial or spiritual.

Tieka wrote her first rap song when she was 12 years old on Nas' If I ruled the world about love and having fun playing Nintendo. The writing she did on songs divided from poetry, differing it in style, tone and length. Trying different methods, she developed her own way of
expressing narrowing it down to 4 lines emotions.

Being more of a writer, she focused more on her poetry. The first of which being published as 'Made from Scrap' in 2006 at age 22. 'Made from Scrap' and the attention it got in several media, enabled her to expand into spoken word, performances and filmmaking. This broadened her audiences, from hip hop crowds to self conscious women to the art and literary scene.

Teaming up with producer Rusted Braces (Clifford Goilo) and JNM the naked MC (Jennifer Muntslag), she feels her alter ego getting the jitters and starts the project RBBP. Combining production, performing and writing as a front co-MC Bambi Peeks.
