A super yummy frosting that you can use to frost cupcakes or cakes.
Strawberry Buttercream Frosting
3 large strawberries, hulled, washed, and dried at room temperature 1 stick (8 Tablespoons) butter, room temperature ¼ teaspoon vanilla Pinch salt 3-4 cups powdered sugar 1 Tablespoon heavy cream 1 teaspoon strawberry jam
In the bowl of a good processor, pulse berries until chopped. Add butter, vanilla, salt and 2 cups of the powdered sugar. Pulse until well combined. Add cream and small amounts of sugar, pulsing after each addition, until strawberries are pureed and mixture reaches the desired consistency. Frosting should be smooth and soft.
Pipe or spread on cool cupcakes or cake. Store leftover cupcakes or cake in refrigerator.
