The episode "Monkees at the Movies" was produced early in Season One, but held from broadcast until the end of the season because the episode ran several minutes short ("Last Train to Clarksville," "Valleri," and the interviews at the end were added as filler).

When first filmed, "When Love Comes Knockin' (At Your Door)" was used for the first romp featuring Bobby Sherman. By the time "Monkees at the Movies" aired on April 17, 1967, "A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You" was the big hit. Plus, since it was the last regular episode of the season, they squeezed it on the soundtrack instead of waiting for the fall. This is why "A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You"---running at 2:50---fades abruptly during the instrumental break; the romp was filmed with "When Love Comes Knockin' (At Your Door)" in mind, running at only 1:49.

Here is the romp at originally intended with "When Love Comes Knockin' (At Your Door)" on the soundtrack.
