Learn more about Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) at Deakin: www.deakin.edu.au/pass

The PASS student leaders recently ran a session for the Language and Learning Advisers (LLAs) to let them experience the PASS methodology for themselves.

They already knew that PASS is about active, collaborative learning and that it helps students improve their marks and develop new study skills. But they hadn't realised how much PASS would help them feel relaxed and comfortable while learning. The leaders didn't lecture or give answers but instead helped the participants to discover the answers for themselves and with each other.

PASS is about engagement and doing so it made sense for the LLAs to join in and have some fun. PASS is about letting the students take control and the video shows the Language and Learning Advisers throwing themselves into the deep end and allowing that to happen.
