This video is a tribute to one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time. Gene Mills was a New Jersey High School State Champion, and a High School National Champion. While at Syracuse University, Gene set the NCAA Division I career pins record with 107 total falls. Gene was a 2x NCAA National Champion, the Outstanding Wrestler in 1981, and was Syracuse's first 4x All-American.
At the international level, Gene solidified himself as a legend. He was a 3x World Cup Champion, World Super Champion, Tblisi Champion, Roger Goulon Champion, and the Rokoczi Champion; he was the Outstanding Wrestler at all of them.
He was a 1980 Olympian, pinning his way through the Trials, and was voted the "Athlete of the Year" by the U.S. Olympic Committee. Gene also holds the record for international pins.
Gene Mills is a Distinguished Member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, OK.
