Joe's Café, a newly renovated eatery in the Wharton School's Steinberg-Dietrich Hall, is a model of sustainability. From its selection of foods to the building materials to the cleaning methods to waste disposal, Joe's shows the school's commitment to Penn's Climate Action Plan. As Penn's first LEED Gold level application, Joe's composts, uses no chemical cleaning products in the dining area and serves up locally baked goods, locally roasted coffees, seasonal produce and seafood certified by Seafood Watch at Monterey Bay. All meats are roasted on campus and soups are made from scratch daily. Additional information on how Joe's Cafe fits in Penn's sustainability efforts is available at
