Inside The Edge Radio was out at this wonderful event to help find a cure for Cancer..

More than 13,000 citizens will participate in the Race For The Cure® to raise funds, and generate awareness of the organization and its core goals to help those affected by breast cancer in Los Angeles County. It is our desire with this event to raise $1 million to help us reach this year's fundraising goal of $1.75 million to provide for the medically underserved and uninsured populations in Los Angeles County with screening, diagnostic tests and treatments for breast cancer.

Susan G. Komen is the second largest funder of scientific breast cancer research nationwide just behind the U.S. government and the organization has raised more than $1.3 billion for the Cure. In 2008, an estimated 182,460 new cases of invasive breast cancer were expected to occur among women in the United States. An estimated 40,480 women will die from breast cancer. It is estimated that 1,990 men will be diagnosed and 450 men will die of breast cancer. In Los Angeles County, 5,335 women and men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 1,080 will die.
