OLD FUNERAL was formed in May 1988. The line-up back then was Padden (Drums), Tore (Guitar) and Olve (Bass). In the 2-3 first months they rehearsed in Tore's cellar. At that time couldn't handle their instruments at all but after a while they managed to play covers of SLAUGHTER, CELTIC FROST and THE MENTORS. After 3-4 months OLD FUNERAL changed their rehearsal place. They joined a club called "Os Rockeklubb" and that time they wrote with the proper equipment. They rehearsed intensely for one year and during that time they wrote 6 tracks which appeared on a rehearsal demo. This demo was released in Oktober '89 and it was entitled "The Fart That Should Not Be". They stopped selling it after 50 copies, cause they realized that it was only a shitty product. So they worked intensely on new songs and in March/April '90 they went to a 16-tracks studio (Grieghallen Lydstudio in Bergen) and recorded a demo named "Abduction Of Limbs". This tape gave then a good name in the underground scene. The tape was sold in approximately 600 copies. In June '90 they got a second guitar player names Kristian (Varg Vikernes), but in November Olve left then. There was a month of troubles but they solved the line-up problem by replacing Olve with a new guy called Thorlak, and Padden took over the vocals along with the drumming. In January '91 they went to the same studio and recorded three new tracks with the new line-up. These tracks are released on "Devoured Carcass"...

1. The Lovely Stench of an Egg Fart 0:00
2. Aphis 1:11
3. Hell 4:50
4. Grandma is a Zombie 7:49
5. Persecuted by Death 10:54
6. Disgusting Kind of Love 13:17
7. The Day of Judgement 15:57

The title "Disgusting Kind of Love" is misspelled "Descustig Kind of Love" in the tracklist, but it is however spelled correctly on the lyric sheet.

Olve "On the egg" - Bass, Vocals
