‘We Will Go to Break If You Keep Talking’: Donald Trump’s On-Air Fight With MSNBC Host Forces Abrupt Commercial Break Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump sparred with the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Tuesday, at one point daring Joe Scarborough to “go to break” when he refused to “stop talking.” The contentious topic of discussion was Trump’s proposal to temporarily ban all Muslims from entering the U.S. “You’ve got to let us actually ask questions, you’re just talking,” Scarborough said. “Joe, I’m not just talking — I’m giving you the facts,” Trump shot back. That’s when the MSNBC host warned, “We will go to break if you keep talking.” When Trump continued to speak and dared him to go to break, insisting he is merely stating the “facts,” Scarborough followed through on his threat. “Go to break, go to break, go to break right now,” he said. “We’ll be right back with more ‘Morning Joe.’” MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough got so fed up during a Morning Joe interview with Donald Trump that he cut him off and cut to commercial. Trump gave a long answer to a question from co-host Mika Brzezinski. But when Scarborough tried to cut in to challenge Trump on a few points, he simply talked over the show’s host. “Alright, Donald–” Scarborough began. “One other thing–” Trump said in response. “No, no, no, no, no,” Scarborough said. “You’ve got to let us ask questions, you can’t just talk. You gotta let us ask question, you’re just talking.” Scarborough then began to ask his question again, but Trump butted in again. “I’m not just talking, I’m giving you the facts.” “Donald, we will go to break if you keep talking,” Scarborough finally said angrily. Trump naturally kept on talking. “Alright, go to break everyone,” Scarborough told his producers. “Go to break right now, we’ll be right back with Morning Joe.” Sure enough, they went to break.
