This video describes a simple method to reverse engineering off-the-shelf remote controlled power sockets, so that a microcontroller plus a radio-frequency (RF) transmitter can be used to simulate the remote control signals. This is useful for home automation projects where a microcontroller is used to turn on or off power line devices automatically. The video also includes a demo of Internet-based device control, using an existing OpenSprinkler board (http://opensprinkler.com). Details about this video can be found at http://rayshobby.net/?p=3381
