This baby girl squirrel is paralyzed. She can't move her legs, tail or urinate, defecate on her own. Because she is young she has a chance to be able to walk again if her back is not broken. She will be released back to the wild if, when she is able. Her kidneys were damaged from the injury. Sad to say we had to put her to sleep. If we hadn't, she would have died on her own. Over 90% of the animals who come in are released back to nature. A few die, a few we have to put to sleep. The sad reality of animal rescue :.(
