-Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names 2Pac (or simply Pac) and Makaveli, was an American rapper. He has sold 75 million albums to date and is one of the best-selling music artists in the world. In addition to his status as a top-selling recording artist, Shakur was a promising actor and a social activist. Most of Shakur's songs are about growing up amid violence and hardship in ghettos, racism, problems in society and conflicts with other rappers. Shakur's work is known for advocating political, economic, social and racial equality. Shakur was initially a roadie and backup dancer for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground.

-The "Golden Era" period of hip-hop seduced the senses with eclectic personalities, unforgettable styles and reborn sounds for a budding musical genre that would go on to attract millions of followers. Few hip-hop acts embodied the true spirit of creative energy better than the artist collective known as Digital Underground ("DU"). Along with friend Chopmaster-J, Greg "Shock-G" Jacobs formed DU in 1987 and the duo released the single, "Underwater Rimes". Soon after, Money B and DJ Fuze, collectively known as Raw Fusion, would join the group. The independent effort provided the support and momentum to attract major record label interest. By the time DU signed with Tommy Boy Records in 1989, theyd increased in size, released a summer underground hit single "Doowutchyalike" off their multi-platinum opus "Sex Packets" and proceeded to create a touring lane on the hip-hop highway that would persist for a 20+ year span. Among the varied members who would cycle through DU over the years, "Shock-G" and co-vocalist "Money-B" would serve as foundational pillars, perpetually entertaining audiences worldwide.

-Cousin of renowned rapper Ice Cube, Del began his career writing lyrics for Cube's backing band, Da Lench Mob. In 1991, with the help of Ice Cube, Del released his first solo album, I Wish My Brother George Was Here, at the age of 18. The album was a commercial success, largely due to the popularity of the hit single, "Mistadobalina". Ultimately Del, who was not pleased with the limited musical range of the album, took matters into his own hands, and severed his production-artist relationship with Ice Cube for his next album, No Need for Alarm. Del is considered a member of the Native Tongues Posse according to the myspace page.
