Play in the Pocket. Keep Going through Silences. Are you in the pocket when it returns? Probably harder than you expected :). An exercise to help with steadiness of tempo and independence in polyrhythm practise. This is based on the "mind boggling beginner's polyrhythm" so already quite tricky before you do this "go silent briefly" :).

To find about the rhythm used see:

When playing along be sure to try to merge with the click. Are you still in the pocket when it comes back again after the silence?

For help and suggestions about playing in the pocket with a metronome, see http://robertinventor.com/bmwiki/The_...

This also shows off an option in Bounce Metronome to set each of the three parts in the rhythm to go silent at different times. So, sometimes all of them will be silent together, sometimes you hear one or the other or sometimes all of them at once.
