CSX Miami Sub (SFRC)
Hollywood, FL
9/24/2010
A traditional outing hits a roadblock as the usual culinary haunt is closed for the few weeks so they can reorganize (I ate at Pizza Rustica instead). I even missed 101 in the process of catching O720.

Also, to correspond to the dates, I put in some airplane pictures. The first was chosen for the sunset colors and the second just because it was an Atlas Air Cargo converted B747-200. Both taken at La Carreta, near SXL 45.51.

SX 1019.89
Hollywood Blvd
10:44 PM
CSX O720-24
CSX 4303 (GP39-2)
CSX 6360 (GP40-2)
47 cars

As disappointed as I am, the following make up for it.
11:08 PM
CSX Q453-24
CSX 7345 (C40-8W ex. Conrail)
CSX 7917 (C40-8W)
CSX 4312 (GP39-2)
65 cars

11:40 PM
CSX Q452-25
CSX 7850 (C40-8W)
CSX 7320 (C40-8W)
57 cars

October 1, 2010
CSX Homestead Sub
DTC/25 mph

We were heading to Villagio in Merrick for dinner and took the "scenic" exit at Coral Way. We head east to find a short train moving south, much to my surprise. We dash south to catch up to it.
8:59 PM - SXH 1043.70 Waterway Drive
9:02 PM - SXH 1044.25 Bird Rd

CSX Y220-01
CSX 4308 (GP39-2)
5 Boxcars (West Rail?)
2 Tankers (Orr for Chlorine)
1 Boxcar (Seal-Tite?)

Lucky me. There are two unusual things, the time this ran SB, and the fact that there were boxcars. Since Stock's demise, boxcars since became a rarity on Homestead Jobs. Note that even though I'm S of the southern Bus Terminal for MDT, I see a bus labeled GARAGE. Could this be Joe (Busprowler) ?
