This "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" is what is a divine phenomenon that is now available to all humanity known as the Oneness Blessing / Oneness Deeksha which emerged in the year 2003 in South India. Sri Bhagavan, with his wife Sri Amma being the co-initiator of this phenomenon, says in an interview: "This is the continuation of the work that Christ left behind. This should have happened in fact 2.000 years ago, this transformation of man, but for some reason it got aborted. But now the same thing has come back. So in the Deekshas people are getting in touch with Christ consciousness, especially in the West. They are discovering the same consciousness that Christ was trying to give them. It is no different from that. In fact I would say that would be true Christianity, as Christ intended it to be." View my channel for more on this.

Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist in the Jordan river before he went to the desert for fourty days where he eventually became the Christ. Here is the description in the Bible: Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. John would have prevented him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?" But Jesus answered him, "Let it be so now; for thus it is fitting for us to fulfilall righteousness." Then he consented. And when Jesus was baptized, he went up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and alighting on him, and lo, a voice from heaven, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:13-17)

Another famous parallel to Oneness Blessing is the Miracle of Pentecost: When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly a sound came from heaven like the rush of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributed and resting on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2:1-4)

In the apostolic period, the Bible reports baptisms of about 3,000 persons in Jerusalem within a single day, that of Pentecost, of men and women in Samaria, of an Ethiopian eunuch, of Saul, who was later called Paul, of the household of Cornelius, of Lydia's household, of the Philippi jailer's household, of many Corinthians and of certain Corinthians baptized by Paul personally.
