This is the second of two videos I'm posting to show you two of the guitars made by Toronto luthier Robert England. I have recently sold two of my Yamaha GCs and bought two of Robert's guitars which are impressive in both build and sound. For people looking beyond the factory-made norm, these are an excellent solution. As an added bonus (at least for now) Robert's guitars are at a very accessible price in the spectrum of hand-made classical guitars.
Here are the specifications of the Rodriguez:
Western Red Cedar top with Spruce bracing Indian Rosewood back & sides with Spanish Cedar bracing Spanish Cedar neck with carbon fibre rod for reinforcement African Ebony fingerboard Bone nut and saddle Indian Rosewood bridge Bloodwood bindings and head plate Schaller tuners with Ebony buttons French polish on the whole guitar D'Addario EJ45 strings (normal tension)
This video is recorded with a pair of Peluso CEMC-6 microphones
