"I'LL SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS" ~ The Pied Pipers w/ Paul Weston & Orchestra (1947) Capitol Records #495 (flip side of "OK'L BABY DOK'L")
June Hutton replaces Jo Stafford with the group, when Stafford went solo. ~
The Pied Pipers started out as a much larger group when they auditioned for Tommy Dorsey's band, after being reduced to four with Jo Stafford included, they recorded some very memorable tunes with Dorsey, some were backing a young Frank Sinatra. Jo Stafford would eventually go on to be a solo performer and another great female vocalist was brought in named June Hutton. June was the younger, half-sister of the beautiful band leader-vocalist, Ina Ray Hutton. They left Dorsey and eventually signed on with Johnny Mercer's Capitol Records in Hollywood, where Jo Stafford was also under contract.
