What are the FAA and Port Authority hiding? Why don't they want to do a simple, inexpensive noise study to determine the real, current sound levels of aircraft noise over Brooklyn? In this quick video when the president and principal of a Brooklyn-based activist group http://www.nextgennoise.org was asked by a NYC news reporter "Why aren't the Port and FAA doing anything about the noise?" he answers in brief, stating the reason he believes they are hiding the truth. Take note of the extremely loud sound of an aircraft's turbine engine passing overhead when he speaks, and the speaker is nearly 8 miles from the landing threshold at La Guardia Airport.
