Trouble flared in the stands and four players were sent off during the match as Manchester United came from two goals down to beat Liverpool 3-2 in their FA Youth Cup quarter-final at Anfield. Liverpool's Stephen Sama and United's Paul Pogba were dismissed in quick succession in the second half with the scores at 1-1, Sama for giving away a penalty and Pogba, bizarrely, while taking it. Reds captain Conor Coady and United defender Tyler Blackett then picked up red cards late on. Liverpool, who had notched 55 goals in their last 15 games, including nine in the last round victory over Southend, seized control of the tie, during which a flare lit, thanks to Adam Morgan's brace either side of half-time. And United fortunes flickered back and forth on the hour. They were given a penalty and handed a man advantage (Sama dismissed for his foul on Ryan Tunnicliffe), but despite Pogba tucking the spot-kick away, he picked up a second yellow card for stopping midway through his run up.
