The Brigade Major Household Division and four troopers of The Blues and Royals lead the Royal Procession along The Mall from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade for the Colonel's Review. This was held on 5 June 2010 and was the second full rehearsal for The Queen's Birthday Parade.

Behind them are the mounted bands of The Blues and Royals and The Lifeguards in their State Dress. At the front are two drum horses each carrying a pair of solid silver kettle drums.

The colour being trooped this year is the Queen's Colour of the 1st Battalion The Grenadier Guards and their colonel is HRH Prince Philip, seen here in an ivory-mounted phaeton.
