Apple iMac Freezes up - Loud Beeps Three Times - Emergency sounds! Apple, HELP! My iMac a 21.5-inch, Mid 2010 model just randomly FREEZES and makes these loud, ear-drum busting, powerful beeps, three times in a row, pause and repeats this till you do a hard shut-down! Very, very dangerous.
iMac a 21.5-inch, Mid 2010 model
Processor 3.6 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics ATI Radeon HD 5670 512 MB
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 (11D50)
NOTE - Came installed with 10.6.8 when I bought it in 2011... Then, the SAME issue would happen, three beeps in a row, freeze up and so forth. Then it happened much less frequently, but did happen - infrequent enough that I never contacted Apple...
Recently updated to Lion a few months ago and now it happens more and more! These scary, loud emergency warning sounds or beeps - sounds like the Apple iMac is going to explode! Apple doom!
note - here is a forum post with many with similar iMac problems:

Happens a lot in iMovie or Aperture. Yet also happens when only in FireFox or in nothing. Or when the computer was sleeping with a screen saver, as in this video of my mac with the three beep tech issue.
Apple, please help.
