You know, this is the most beautiful thing about this fandom. You derp around the net in search for new stuff to listen to, and on Wednesday I stumbled back to otokei-douj.in, the epic link I posted a while ago - in case you didn't notice (thanks once more for reminding me that it's online again Runixzan), it's back. Now, Otokei-Douj.in is responsible for a pretty ambitious project... A 1.2 TERABYTE (!) torrent consisting only of lossless Touhou music. Too bad I don't have 1.2 TB free space. Oh well.
Well, I stumbled upon this circle, Souwer Cherry. It's pretty good actually, and Souwer has a great voice. It has power and energy but is not overly screechy or high-pitched, it's very nice to listen to.
Ok, I hate to admit it, but in this arrange there are those chimes I dislike, but other than that, it's pretty damn good. Especially the chorus adds a whole lot of greatness to it. The fact that it's a new take on Youmu's theme makes it even better. Just after a moments thinking, I can't really remember any other circle that sounds similar to this one. I like it pretty much. The guitar is well played, the drums are, thank god not as penetrant as in Realize In Death. I actually like the fact that the instruments are not as dominant and that Souwer's voice is the main focus of the arrange. They are audible and add a wild feeling to the arrange, but that's about it - they're there, excellently played but not intrusive - except for the off-vocal part starting at 2:27 where the guitar is the focus. But this part is very short and soon we're treated to another portion of the very good female vocals.
