This software costs $60. Literally. A simple interactive historical map of Europe and the Middle East is that expensive. What the hell?

If only I had a credit card I would pay for this thing DAMN!
Why couldn´t you make it on full screen? :/
as far as i know, finland was never a country year 1000.... not until 1914... it did exist... with ppl and as an autonomuse region when it was with russia... but yeah :/

Sure. That's a good point! But it does not interfere with most people's understanding of what they see in the "Centennia Historical Atlas" (that's HistoricalAtlas[dot]com, btw). There are, in fact, many countries which are known by "common" names in English that do not match the actual name of the country. Egypt and Greece are two good examples. Who knows... in a decade, history fans may become comfortable referring to those countries as Misr and Ellada, but we're not there yet.
A very interesting piece of software, but... the country near the top of the screen is called United Kingdom and has been since 1801 (I think). Currently your software still seems to show it as Great Britain upto present day.
