Our full manual called "Working with chainsaws -- Basic manual for safe and efficient chainsaw use" can be found at http://www.husqvarna.com/uk/support/w.... As one of the world's leading chainsaw manufacturers, it's quite natural for Husqvarna to share our knowledge about safe and effective working methods when it comes to working with a chainsaw. This clip shows how to perform a safe corner and is part of our full manual called "Working with chainsaws -- Basic manual for safe and efficient chainsaw use.

A catch (a piece of unsawn wood) is saved for one last operation before the tree is felled, hence the name "Safe corner". A major advantage of this method is that the hinge can be clearly cut and inspected before the tree is felled. The tree cannot fall backwards either due to the corner. The method is also beneficial to use on moderately forward or backward leaning trees. Read more in our manual: http://www.husqvarna.com/uk/support/w...
