"Bayview Rising" is a mural at pier 92, designed by HaddadlDrugan for the Port of San Francisco with input from the residents of the Bayview neighborhood.
R.B. Morris lll, Sharif Munir, Luke Stock and Skylar Campbell took on the herculean task of painting the 200 foot tall and 70 foot wide mural. Starting in early November, of 2013, the crew worked, day and night through sunshine and pouring rain, to complete the mural which took just under a month.
The residents of Bayview, and the rest of San Francisco, watched as an old abandoned grain silo was transformed into the tallest and one of the largest murals in the city. Though beautiful during the day the mural really stands out at night when the mural is lit up by a light show that transforms the images as the colors of the lights change. If you have not had a chance to see the mural in person, you must, it is quite a sight to behold.
Adam and Zachary Campbell filmed and edited the video. Rushad Eggleston, a master, cellist, created an original score that perfectly matches the imagery and intensity of the project.
Please enjoy and if you like what you see please share with as many people as possible.
