Don Bogen is the Nathaniel H. Ropes Professor of English at the University of Cincinnati, and is also the author of four books of poetry: After the Splendid Display (1986); The Known World (1997); Luster (2003); and An Algebra (2009). In addition, he is the author of the critical volume, A Necessary Order: Theodore Roethke and the Writing Process (1991), and he serves as the poetry editor of The Cincinnati Review. In 2011, he will serve as the Fulbright Distinguished Scholar in Creative Writing at Queen's University, Belfast. He is interviewed here by Caki Wilkinson, doctoral candidate in English (with an emphasis in Creative Writing-Poetry) at the University of Cincinnati and author of Circles Where the Head Should Be (forthcoming from the University of North Texas Press).
