The Quebec government announced it would suspend the current semester for many college and university students after around one hundred protesters marched through the hallways of the Université du Québec in Montreal Wednesday morning expressing their anger over the rise of the tution fees. The striking students forced the cancellation of some classes. Some protesters broke into the classrooms and grabbed the students by an arm telling them to get out. None of the protesters reportedly were carrying guns, neither anyone has been arrested. The several weeks long stand-off has created considerable social disorder.
