Dynamics of superconducting order parameter in 2D square superconductor patterned with square lattice of circular normal-metal inclusions. Two boundaries are open and another two are quasi-periodic.

The external magnetic field ramps up from 0 to 35% of upper critical field. Magnetic vortices enter superconductor from open boundaries.

Shown is the squared order parameter |ψ|² from two-dimensional time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau (TDGL) simulations.
