5th Trumpet, Part 3

Revelation’s Seven Trumpets

Fifth Trumpet, Part 2

Revelation 9:3, 4

Last week, we noticed how “…smoke arose out of the pit,” and “…the sun

and the air were darkened because of the smoke.” We also, saw how the

symbol mirrors the plague event found in Exodus 10.

Let’s look into the symbol of the locusts:

Revelation 9:12

Proverbs 30:27

The symbol of scorpions:

Luke 10:18, 19

Psalm 91:9 – 13

Mark 16:15 – 18

Isaiah 9:13 – 15

John 8:44

Revelation 12:3, 4

“There is in the world today a power that palsies the spiritual energies,

benumbs the sense of right, and robs man of the victory of overcoming.

The benumbed soul does not recover. The spiritual paralysis continues until

the end. Lies are spoken, lies are acted. Deception is practiced, and

dishonesty connived at. This leaves a deadly sting in the soul. The father of

lies has taken possession of the citadel of the heart. The false, the

deceptive, has turned the whole current of life. Business transactions have

become corrupt. And this moral degradation has been chosen instead of a

rich current of light from heaven.” – The Paulson Collection of E.G. White

Letters, pg. 254

“Christ proclaimed over the rent sepulcher of Joseph, ‘I am the resurrection

and the life.’ He, the world's Redeemer, has bruised the serpent's head,

depriving him of all power ever to make men feel his scorpion sting; for He

has brought life and immortality to light. The gates of eternal life are

thrown open to all who believe on Jesus Christ. All believers who pass

through a natural death have, through eating the flesh and drinking the

blood of the Son of God, eternal life in them, which is the life of Jesus

Christ. In dying, Jesus has made it impossible for those who believe on Him

to die eternally.” – SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 7, pg. 926

“No man or woman should exercise his or her will to control the senses or

reason of another so that the mind of the person is rendered passively

subject to the will of the one who is exercising the control. This science may

appear to be something beautiful, but it is a science which you are in no

case to handle.... There is something better for you to engage in than the

control of human nature over human nature.

“I lift the danger signal. The only safe and true mind cure covers much. The

physician must educate the people to look from the human to the divine.

He who has made man's mind knows precisely what the mind needs.

Appears Valuable and Wonderful.--In taking up the science you have begun

to advocate, you are giving an education which is not safe for you or for

those you teach. It is dangerous to tinge minds with the science of mind

This science may appear to you to be very valuable, but to you and to

others it is a fallacy prepared by Satan. It is the charm of the serpent which

stings to spiritual death. It covers much that seems wonderful, but it is

foreign to the nature and spirit of Christ. This science does not lead to Him

who is life and salvation.” – Mind, Character and Personality, Vol. 2, pg.

The symbols of grass, plant or tree:

Psalm 1:1 – 3

Psalm 37:1, 2

Psalm 90:3 – 9

Psalm 92:12 – 15

Isaiah 40:3 – 8

Jeremiah 17:7, 8

The Seal of God:

Ephesians 1:11 – 14

Ephesians 4:29, 30

2 Corinthians 1:20 – 22
