RARE, camera footage of the 1936 St. Patricks day flood that hit the Kiski River valley. Footage starts along Crooked Creek post flood, then earlier footage during the flood, also shows Leechburg, Hyde Park, Apollo, and North Vandergrift. At the 5:34 point it briefly shows the dog who was stranded on debris going downriver, near the US Steel pumphouse on the Vandergrift side.
To the best of our knowledge, this was taken by one of the owners of Hyde Park Foundry, the footage taken near Crooked Creek was features there summer home, just south of Gardas Restaurant on SR 66.
It then shows Apollo, Leechburg, Hyde Park and North Vandergrift.
