In July of 2004 Malamulo Hospital in the Southern region of Malawi began
a Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) program to help
in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Since that time of the 104 children born in
the PMTCT program only one has tested HIV positive. Through the voice
of clinical officer Edson Monjeza Saving a Generation tells the story of
this program and shows some of the lives that have been changed.

Saving a Generation shows the reality of Africa and some of the good
things that are happening there in the fight against HIV/AIDS. However,
as Edson Monjeza said, "We still have a challenge ahead." Half of the
orphans in Malawi have lost one or both parents to AIDS. The good fight
is being fought, but we have just begun. The children who have been
orphaned by AIDS need support. Where will that support come from?
