A "pan and scan" of an image from FIAT LUX, Ansel Adams and Nancy Newhall's 1967 book for the Centennial of the University of California, reveals the extraordinary detail of the original print. The video is part of the FIAT LUX REDUX exhibit currently at the Bancroft Library, UC Berkeley.

Similar explorations of some of Adams' images serve as interludes in "Take Five," a program of filmed interviews with University of California faculty, staff, alumni, and students as well as members of the general public created by filmmakers Kwame Braun and Catherine Cole in relation to the Fiat Lux photographic collection by Ansel Adams (http://onthesamepage.berkeley.edu/fl-...). "Take Five" videos will be released on the web throughout Fall 2012. To get regular updates, follow "On the Same Page" on Twitter or Facebook: http://onthesamepage.berkeley.edu. "Take Five" videos will also appear as part of the exhibition "Fiat Lux Redux: Ansel Adams and Clark Kerr" at The Bancroft Library at UC Berkeley opening on September 27, 2012 and running through February 28, 2013 (http://bancroft.berkeley.edu/Exhibits...).
