A wood stove fan is a handy device that sits on a wood stove and pushes the warm air around the room. The bonus, it doesn't require batteries to turn the fan blade. It generates it's own power through a small 4 cm square wafer called a Peltier Module. If heat is applied to one side and the other side is cooled down, it will make DC electricity. It's not a new concept, but, fun to try making your own. A factory made version can be found at a local retailer for $79.00. You can make your own for less than $50.00! (old computer parts, a Peltier module off ebay ($19.00), hobby DC motor (4.99))
