With the recent public release of the Unity 4 beta I thought I'd do a quick example of how to rig a character from scratch for the new Mecanim system.

With this, you should be able to quickly take any unrigged humanoid mesh and get it animation ready in only a few minutes.

I'm happy to do some more videos about Mecanim, let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions.

Legs upperleg.(side) lowerleg.(side) foot.(side) toe.(side)

Connections shoulder is connected between chest and neck upperleg is connected between hip and stomach thumb is connected between lowerarm and hand
