When I returned to my hometown of Sarnia (Canada) for the internment of my mother's ashes in Lakeview Cemetery last October 2013, I spent a couple of days first wandering around the picturesque river front and under the Bluewater Bridge. For those who don't know Sarnia, it is a border town with the USA separated by the St-Clair river at the mouth of Lake Huron.

Most people in Sarnia love spending leisure time under the bridge and watching the river and the boats pass by. Well, there are actually now TWO BRIDGES so that is why in the song I sing about two bridges. 8-)

Well, last October 2013 while wandering about with my Sony video camera and ukulele, I noticed they had some "memorial stones' near the bridges and that is where I first saw the line "Miss You Eve." I knew that had to be a song so here it is!

The song needed something more so I added in some melodica. The melodica is a German kind of mouth piano that sounds like the accordion. I love it and have several of them.

Ukulele: new Martin style 2 soprano
Melodica: Hohner 37 Performer

LYRICS
======

Miss You Eve (3x)
My time to grieve
Near two bridges, flow blue waters
and a river that runs, endless miles
and we crossed them, together
but without you I feel,
my faith is on trial

Our forever, was only a while
Love forever, lasts only a while

Miss you Eve, as these ships pass and leave
Miss you Eve, as these waves crash and grieve
Near two bridges, flow blue waters
And a river that runs, endless miles
And we crossed them, together
But without you I feel,
My faith is on trial

Our forever, was only a while
Love forever, lasts only a while
