To the south in century-old Durbin, the DURBIN ROCKET, powered by Old #3, is one of only three operating Climax geared logging locomotives on earth. Built in 1910, this 55-ton antique pulls an authentic 1920s-era coach and vintage wooden cabooses along the free-flowing Greenbrier River.
The riverside ride through the Monongahela National Forest covers 10.5 miles in approximately two hours. While in Durbin, visit our RAIL & TRAIL store on Main Street across from the Depot. Then, try some down-home cooking at the Station 2 Restaurant just down the street.
