3 toed sloth crossing a trail to continue its historic feeding route. This is probably a near 20 year old large male, who learned this route before the trail was built and braved coming to the ground amidst people and potential predators to follow its learned route. Very unusual, and probably stressful, behavior for an animal that normally only comes to the ground weekly to defecate and then goes back up in the trees. His limbs weren't built for walking!
