President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga are expected to meet members of the NCCK and leaders from the Catholic Church over the constitution. In a statement from the presidential press service, the meeting will be seeking a common ground on the way forward as the country prepares to vote for a new constitution in the referendum. The church leaders including Cardinal John Njue of the Catholic and Anglican Archbishop Eliud Wabukala have vowed to mobilize their faithful to reject the draft. And as Chris Thairu reports the clauses on abortion and Kadhis court remain a pain in the neck for the mainstream church leaders who claim their inputs were ignored.
